What is Furukawa Pan?

Anything you want it to be. Currently it’s my blog for raging, and for my releases. Other than that, Furukawa Pan is a distro sphere of anime and other stuff.

Why the name?

Well, back in the day, I used to be a CLANNAD whore. I used to like it so much I ate, slept, and breathed CLANNAD, and there isn’t anything wrong with taking a name that could mean anything, it’s not a trademark, so it should be okay to use right?

The Birth of Furukawa Pan

Back when The Tower of Druaga aired and crunchy roll subbed it, Xarda and his buddy herbz from shinsen/mishicorp/college decided to take it upon themselves to sub it in order to bring higher quality anime, instead of lower quality streams. Under the name [Nova-Furukawa] they completed season 1 of Druaga. Nova being Herbz’s part of the group, Furukawa being Xarda’s. At the beginning, Furukawa had its irc channel on irc.anisubs.net or irc.moeotaku.net, but those servers went down and split up due to various reasons. Now with season 2 starting, Xarda and Herbz decided to do it again, but this time, school got busy, and Xarda lost interest. So eventually, they split up due to various reasons. Xarda then decided 6 months later, he wanted to host his own blog, about random crap, and help some buddys with some projects, so he decided to invest in a server. Server1.furukawapan.net was originally a French server residing with kimsufi. The server OS is OpenSUSE 11.1 with 2 gigs of ram, 500 gigs of storage, and unmetered bandwidth 100/100 data link.

The Furukawa Pan Now

Furukawapan.net is currently paid and operated by Xarda. Currently, no donations are used to keep this server running, if you would like to donate anything, please contact Xarda. Donations are appreciated but not required to run this operation. I do this as a hobby, not a money making scheme.

The prime server dev is CrazyBob.

The current server [kyou.furukawapan.net] is hosted in the US. Its OS is openSUSE 11.4 with 8 gigs of ram, 2 tb of storage, and unmetered bandwidth 100/100 datalink.

There is a secondary server [tomoyo.furukawapan.net] that is hosted in FR, but it is not paid and owned by Xarda.

The irc channel is located on irc.rizon.net in the room #furukawapan.
